Irish Fairy Tales is a collection of ten Irish tales written by the Irish novelist James Stephen, who is ed for his retelling of Irish myths and fairy tales by a rare combination of humor and lyricism. His notable writings include Crock of Gold, Insurrections, and Kings and the Moon.

This fairy tales are set in the Medieval Ireland filled with imaginative characters such as larger than life hunters, warriors and kings.  Some of the notable stories in these collections are The Story of Tuan mac Cairill, The Boyhood of Fionn, The Birth of Bran, and The Wooing of Becfola.
